It’s May, I’m freezing. Snow in Switzerland last week after a brilliant run of lovely spring days. Check with my tour-dates here and feast your eyes and ears on this new video. It was so much fun to play with these amazing friends and musicians:
In times of social-media-madness I forget to update this website frequently, just because the other platforms seem so convenient, which really is rather stupid.
A couple of things happened:
In March I filmed a proper music video in Copenhagen with talented filmmaker Aleksandr Sugak from Latvia.
While that one is in the process of fine tuning, here’s a new song to get you through the summer:
The summer this year is rather quiet when it comes to gigging, but I have a few interesting shows coming up in July:
on July 21st I am playing a show on a beautiful, wooden sailing vessel, which anchors in the harbour of Flensburg.
On July 27, I’ll be at SOL Kulturbar in Mülheim/Ruhr, opening for Markus Rill & The Troublemakers, only to get up very early the next morning to drive all the way down to Freising in Bavaria, to play at the Bonfire Festival on July 28.
I am looking forward to seeing old friends and meeting new people at these shows. For more gigs later in the year, you might want to check the tour page.
Wishing you all a great summer and happy traveling!

Is it too late yet to wish you a Happy New Year?`No, I don’t think so, so I’m wishing you health, happiness & peace, in times that seem to be somewhat troubled!
It’s been a while since I’ve updated this. “Tales from the feverworld” is here, it arrived in mid November and I spent most of the time before Christmas to get it out, in various formats, to the crowdfunders.
I hope you’ve all received your copy. There have been a few irregularities with the mail and some CDs got lost on the way, so if you’ve been among the crowdfunders and haven’t received your copy yet, let me know!
Did I mention that I’m very proud of it?
The official release will not happen before April, and that basically means releasing it to all the streaming platforms.
Physical copies will be available at gigs and from this website only!
Other than that, I’ve played a couple of gigs, the most memorable ones with the incomparable Jake Green in Copenhagen’s wonderful Mojo Blues Bar and the Light of Day concert in Melle, Germany, an annual fundraiser in aid of finding a cure for Parkinson disease.
This years line-up included Joe D’Urso, James Maddock, Vini Lopez, Rob Dye, Jeffrey Gaines and the fantastic Ben Arnold. I am very proud that I get asked year after year to be a part of this wonderful event.
There’s more gigs coming up and I’ll be heading to Copenhagen again soon to shoot a video to help promote the release of the album.
Hoping to see you out there somewhere this year, since I am planning to be on the road constantly!

The record is mixed, mastered, in the pressing plant and will be here sometime next week. Finally!
I’m behind with almost everything and have a whole lot of catching up to do. The official release will be sometime in January, the crowd-funders will get theirs first and you’ll be able to buy the physical copy at upcoming gigs.
I hope the next year will see me touring as much as possible and I am confident that this record will get me places, all with your help, of course.
The good thing about finishing one record is you have your mind free again for writing songs for another! Here’s one I wrote with my dear friend Jen Hajj and I am sure it’s a keeper.
It was filmed during this year’s Copenhagen Songwriters Festival by mi hermano Carlos Ochoa and my brother Jacob Svendsen on F.o.H. sound.
Y’all be good, I’ll talk to you soon!

“Time has wings, and it flies right by…”
Copenhagen, you’re a beauty. I think I will move here in a while.
Wednesday’s gig at Blagards Apotek was loaded with great songwriters and Friday night’s house-concert was everything you would expect from such an intimate setting
Yesterday I attended a concert at the Copenhagen World Music Festival and saw Djeli Moussa Condé from Guinea. This town is so full of music.
Tomorrow is my last night in town and I will celebrate it with a gig at Mojo Blues Bar. I am going to be in great company, because Andy Fite will be sharing the stage with me. He is a master jazz guitarist and a singer extrordinaire. We wrote a little ditty together last Thursday and will premier it that night. If you are in town, come and join us for a night of extravaganza!
