It has been a long time coming and I am happy to tell you that there is finally a video of me in The Rua Room.
Daithi Rua has quite a few stakes in the way I sound these days. He was the man who first introduced me to partial capos and was kind enough to send me the last batch of the legendary Kyser Capos with the lever.
I cherish these like the holy grail as they don’t make them like this anymore.
The song I sang for him a couple of weeks ago when I was passing through Lievegem, Belgium on my way back to Ireland, is “White Lines“, a song I wrote in the late 90s that has never been recorded.
It’s my homage to the record store in my old hometown, the Rock Store CD & Vinyl, and especially to its owner, Jürgen Krause.
Thank you Jürgen for always having time for me “when life was weary”, for always picking out the right records from the shelf behind you or the counter below. You opened up a new world for me and I can safely say that you helped to shape who I am today.
Here’s the link to the video again!
Have a great Sunday, while I’m off to Conolly’s of Leap to see the amazing Hothouse Flowers!
